Strategy, Philosophy and Marketing
Kia Ora Customer 23 July 2010

I felt very old last month, as Imagic celebrated turning sweet sixteen. A lot has happened in this industry since Sheryl and I started the business in 1994. The game-changing growth of the internet and then social media are two of the biggies - but as we've always been an agency that takes digital seriously, we've taken it all in our stride. Here's to whatever the next sixteen years throw at us!

Brand image magic for the plaza

The Plaza Shopping Centre opened its new development earlier in the year, which was the perfect opportunity for a major rebrand. A playful and magical feel ran through the campaign creative with customers being urged to 'discover' everything the new centre had to offer. The Winter Style Guide featuring model Tia Woods tempted customers to 'discover a new wardrobe', while the launch event saw the centre decked out with green carpets, silk butterflies and forest hoardings.

New website goodness

New website goodness

Like the builder who never finishes the renovations on his own home, our new website has been a long time coming. But it's finally here, so please check it out and let us know what you think. Big thanks to Mike, Andrew and Nick for all the blood, sweat and tears. www.imagic.co.nz

Swiftpoint - reinventing the mouse

Swiftpoint - reinventing the mouse

Swiftpoint came to us having invented a new product, in a new category, which they wanted to launch internationally. Time to leverage the power of video on the internet. Check out the promo movie or this TV3 news spot to find out more. A week after launch they'd already clocked up nearly 40,000 views on YouTube.

Goodbye Angela

Goodbye Angela

Congratulations to Angela, our General Manager, and her husband Steve on the safe arrival of their new baby boy.

Xavier Jack arrived three weeks early on the 4th of July. Both Mum and baby are doing well.

Hello Gabriel

Hello Gabriel

While Ang is on maternity leave and up to her eyes in nappies, her clients will be looked after by Gabriel Graham, who's recently joined us as an Account Manager.

Gabriel has worked for a number of agencies both here in Christchurch and previously in London. We're really excited to welcome him to the team.

If you want to know more about any of the above or just chat about 'stuff' then please get in contact with me, Vicki or Gabriel.

Best regards from Paul and the Imagic team.
